APRILIA BRINGS A TASTE OF ITALY TO AUSTIN'S CIRCUIT OF THE AMERICAS
2017 Aprilia RSV4 & Tuono Steal the Show

With over 130,000 fans visiting Austin’s Circuit of the Americas (COTA) during Grand Prix of the Americas, Aprilia made its Italian presence known in the “Fan Zone.”

Located near Turn 12 at the end of the ¾-mile Back Straight--the longest in 2017 MotoGP-- the revamped 2017 Aprilia RSV4 and Tuono models quickly stole the show. Both models were refreshed this year with more linear power delivery, better handling and the latest in Aprilia Performance Ride Control (aPRC) electronics.

The RSV4 RR and the RSV4 RF, which features top-rated Öhlins suspension, lighter forged wheels and undeniable race-forward Superpole graphics, were joined by the Tuono RR and the Tuono Factory, the naked streetfighter that arrives with Öhlins suspension, a 200/55 rear tire and Superpole graphics.

Alongside these performance-minded bikes out of Noale  were two 2018 models that made their debut at the MotoGP event: the 2018 Dorsoduro 900 and 2018 Shiver 900. Both mid-weight supermotos were upgraded with a more powerful 900cc engine over the previous gen’s 750cc platform, the V90 now producing 95 horsepower for some serious hooliganism.

As the factory Aprilia Racing Team Gresini and its riders Aleix Espargaro and Sam Lowes were preparing to fight for additional points at Austin MotoGP, the Aprilia USA staff was greeting fans, starting bikes, and demonstrating the RSV4 and Tuono’s new TFT dash display, which includes rider data like lean angle, top speed and braking/throttle parameters from 0-100.

A few participants with deposits on the newer 2017 RSV4 and Tuono models met the bikes for the first time, and others put down deposits after throwing a leg over one. The 2017 Tuono models are in dealers now, and the RSV4s will ship soon!
